The Prefontaine Classic and TrackTown USA announce upcoming Wanda Diamond League watch parties

EUGENE, Ore. – With the 2023 Wanda Diamond League circuit beginning next week, The Prefontaine Classic and TrackTown USA have announced that they will hold in-person watch parties for select Wanda Diamond League meetings this summer. This season, The Prefontaine Classic has been selected to host the Wanda Diamond League Final at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon on September 16-17, 2023. This is the first time the Wanda Diamond League Final will be held on U.S. soil.

The Prefontaine Classic and TrackTown USA invite fans to join them at the 5th Street Public Market Alley to watch the below meets in an environment that is second to none. Surrounding the viewing of the meet, attendees will have the opportunity to score special offers from local businesses and win prizes through raffles and games.

Times are yet to be determined, and will be announced via The Prefontaine Classic and TrackTown USA’s website, social media, and email. All watch parties will be free to attend.

Over the 13 Wanda Diamond League meets that take place prior to The Prefontaine Classic, competing athletes will score points based on their performance that qualify them to compete at the 2023 Wanda Diamond League Final. Of the entire season, the four meets selected for these in-person watch parties are widely regarded as some of the most highly-contested Wanda Diamond League meets every year.

In addition to watch parties being held in Eugene, Portland Track will host watch parties for the same four meets in Portland, Oregon. Details for those events will be shared on Portland Track’s website.
